I’ve been listening to Steven Davey for several years now. I listened spellbound as he preached about modern Christian heroes and heroines during his sermon series. I’d heard of many of them, even read biographies about them, but those accounts can’t touch the details and spiritual truths Pastor Davey shared. When I heard a book version of his series was available, I couldn’t wait to own it. Pastor Davey’s gift of storytelling, combined with extensive research, made these men and women come alive. Even better, each story made my faith grow. Hearing about these heroes and heroines made me want to imitate them. As they did, I want to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” one day. Modeling my life after Christ and His faithful followers is more possible with excellent, engagine resources like this book to spur me on. Thank you, Pastor Davey. I wish I could give this book ten stars.
