Finding Your Footing

Isaiah 33:6
…and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is Zion’s treasure.

These are trying times, aren’t they? A tornado recently came out of nowhere and destroyed homes, businesses, and churches in the Midwest. Covid-19 variants have spread rapidly, and experts still aren’t sure which way it’s headed. Gas prices are sky high, the supply chain is as backed up as downtown Chicago in rush hour, criminals are robbing stores in broad daylight, and small businesses are shutting their doors by the day. But maybe all that’s just peripheral to you right now, friend. Maybe that’s just the background noise to your truly devastating trials. Maybe for you the instability isn’t out there, but it’s right here, in your own home, in your own relationships, in your own search for work, in your own health. Maybe your faith has lost its footing recently and you’re currently in an emotional freefall.

Take heart! Christ endured the deepest, darkest pit of hell for your redemption. So if anyone can save you in this dark hour, if anyone can give you wisdom, if anyone can carry you through to the end, He can. And He will!
