Make the gift of a lifetime!
Planned giving allows you to make a significant gift to our ministry - more than what would be possible from your regular income. This type of gift allows you to make a major gift throughout your life or upon your death as part of your estate planning. Planned gifts include gifts of stocks, life insurance, real estate, personal property, or cash. The benefits of funding a planned gift can make support of our ministry beneficial for you and for Wisdom International.
- You can contribute appreciated property, such as securities or real estate and receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the asset, and pay no capital gains tax on the transfer.
- You can make contributions directly from your IRA once you reach the age of 70 ½ and pay no income tax on the distribution.
- You can designate our ministry in your will or in a life insurance policy.
If you are planning to include Wisdom in your plans, we hope you will let us know. Providing us with notice of your intention is the best way to ensure that your gift is used just as you wish. We can provide valuable information about a variety of options.
Naming Wisdom as a beneficiary in your estate is a simple way to make a lasting gift to support our ministry. You can designate us as a beneficiary of a retirement, investment or bank account or your life insurance policy.

Here is some suggested language you can use:
RESIDUAL GIFT LANGUAGE
A residual bequest would come to Wisdom after your estate expenses and specific bequests are paid:
I give and devise to Wisdom for the Heart Inc., located in Cary NC., all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support.
SPECIFIC GIFT LANGUAGE
Naming Wisdom as a beneficiary of a specific amount or percentage of your estate is easy:
I give and devise to Wisdom for the Heart Inc., located in Cary NC., the sum of $___________ (%) to be used for its general support.
CONTINGENT GIFT LANGUAGE
Wisdom can be named as a contingent beneficiary in your will or personal trust if one or more of your specific bequests cannot be fulfilled:
If (insert name) is not living at the time of my demise, I give and devise to Wisdom for the Heart Inc., located in Cary NC., the sum of $ _______ (or all or a percentage of the residue of my estate) to be used for its general support.
Retirement Plan Beneficiary
You may name Wisdom as a beneficiary of your IRA or other qualified retirement benefits. Donors should consult with their tax advisor regarding the tax benefits of such gifts.
Naming Wisdom as the beneficiary of a qualified retirement plan asset such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, Keogh or profit-sharing pension plan will help us fulfill our mission. By naming Wisdom as a beneficiary of a retirement plan, you maintain complete control over the asset while living. Upon your death, the plan would pass to support Wisdom free of both estate and income taxes.
Making a charitable gift from your retirement plan is easy. Simply request a change-of-beneficiary form from your plan administrator. Enter the beneficiary information noted above on the form with the percent you would like us to receive. When you have finished, return the form to your plan administrator.
