Sabbath Psalm 14
Sabbath Psalm 14 (from the song, ‘Take us to Your Heart’)
A hundred scars from a hundred falls. A hundred reasons to leave it all. But help our eyes to see that pain is just a means. A hundred sorrows, a hundred doubts. A hundred questions we can’t work out. But help us to believe when You remain unseen. Take us to the place where beauty lies—the gate between the world and paradise; and take away the scales that block our eyes. We pray: take us to Your heart.
A hundred sorrows, a hundred tears. A hundred vices, a hundred fears. This is a broken world—but every pain will pass. A hundred pictures, a hundred songs; the thundered whispers—a hundred strong! This life is beautiful—and joy will ever last. Take us to the cross where sorrow’s naught—then to the empty tomb where death’s forgot; and to the Upper Room—the meal is hot! We pray: take us to Your heart.
Take us to the place where beauty lies—the gate between the world and paradise; and take away the scales that block our eyes. We pray: take us to Your heart.
