Though he came from a small town, the prophet Micah had widespread impact. He addressed the people of both Israel and Judah, had an influence on King Hezekiah, and through his written prophecy continues to speak to people today. Micah presents us with a worthy example of what humbly serving the Lord means: He spoke God’s word without compromise and was not hesitant to confront sin; but in love he grieved over those who rejected God’s message, and he never ceased to offer hope to those who will submit to the Lord.
