Pride is a deadly sin. When you succumb to it, it causes you to focus on your own abilities and achievements. When pride takes root in your life, it dismisses the need for God. It prevents you from important things like confession and repentance. Pride is especially tempting for people who wield great power. You’ll see an example of that in this lesson Stephen called Babylon’s Last Meal.
