The Journey Through James

James wrote his only New Testament letter to Jewish believers scattered about the Roman Empire. His concern was that many of these Christians were not living in accordance with their profession of faith in Christ. They were influenced by the world and acting too much like the world. They needed to be doers of the Word, not just hearers of the Word. They needed to have a living faith, not just a confessing faith. James challenges his readers—and that includes all of us—to live above worldly thinking and expectations and embrace a faith that reflects the wisdom of God as applied to all areas of life. Here is a book that gives us down-to-earth, godly wisdom for practical issues in daily life.
