Living by Fear or by Faith? (1 Thessalonians 5)
Embracing the Future with Confidence
Fear is a powerful emotion, and for many of us, it's all too easy to let fear control our lives. Whether it's fear of flying, fear of what the future holds, or fear of judgment, these anxieties can overshadow our faith. But as the Apostle Paul teaches in 1 Thessalonians 5, we don't have to live in fear. Instead, we're called to live by faith, trusting in God's sovereignty and His promises for our future. Paul reminds the Thessalonian believers that they need not fear the coming day of the Lord, for they are "children of light" and have a secure hope in Christ. With this hope, we are encouraged to stay alert, live soberly, and engage fully in God's work, without being consumed by fear. Join us as we explore what it means to live by faith, trusting in the God who holds our future in His hands.
