Introduction to Nepal:

Nepal, nestled in the Himalayas between India and China, is home to over 30 million people and 8 of the world’s 10 highest mountain peaks. While breathtaking in beauty, it remains one of the most spiritually unreached countries in the world. Hinduism is the dominant religion, and Christianity is a small minority, often misunderstood and opposed. Sharing the gospel publicly is restricted by law, and believers can face social rejection or legal consequences. Despite these challenges, the church in Nepal is growing. Many are coming to faith through personal witness, small house churches, and the quiet yet powerful work of God’s Spirit.

This week, we invite you to pray for Nepal. Ask God to strengthen His church, open hearts to the gospel, and raise up a generation of believers who will shine the light of Christ in this high-altitude mission field.

Ways to Pray for Nepal:

1. Pray for gospel access, that every village and valley would hear the name of Jesus.

2. Ask God to encourage and protect Nepali believers, especially those who face hostility or rejection.

3. Pray for church leaders, that they would be grounded in Scripture and equipped to disciple others.

4. Lift up young believers, many of whom are the first Christians in their families.

5. Intercede for areas still unreached by the gospel, particularly in remote mountain regions.

6. Pray for wisdom and boldness, as believers navigate laws that restrict evangelism.

7. Ask God to heal divisions between ethnic groups, and to unite the church across cultures and languages.

8. Pray for strong Christian marriages and families, to be lights in their communities.

9. Lift up pastors with limited resources, that they would have access to training and biblical tools.

10. Pray for mission efforts in Nepal, that they would be Spirit-led, culturally wise, and biblically sound.

11. Ask God to reveal Himself to those steeped in Hinduism, through dreams, Scripture, and personal witness.

12. Pray for long-term revival, that Nepal would be transformed by the power of the gospel.
