How can we pray for you?

Mongolia is a large, landlocked country in East and Central Asia, bordered by Russia and China. With a population of about 3.4 million—half of whom live in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar—Mongolia has a rich history tied to Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire. For centuries, Buddhism dominated Mongolian religious life, and during the 20th century, communist rule suppressed all religious expression. Since the fall of communism in the 1990s, Christianity—especially evangelical faith—has grown from virtually zero to several thousand believers and dozens of churches. Yet most Mongolians still have never heard the gospel, and many regions remain unreached.

This week, we invite you to pray for Mongolia. Ask God to strengthen the young church, raise up faithful leaders, and spread the gospel across every province, village, and city in this vast land.

Ways to Pray for Mongolia:

1. Pray for continued growth of the evangelical church, especially in unreached provinces.

2. Ask God to raise up mature, biblically grounded pastors and leaders, especially from within Mongolia.

3. Pray for boldness among new believers, many of whom face social pressure or misunderstanding.

4. Lift up discipleship efforts, that churches would be rooted in Scripture and not just surface-level growth.

5. Intercede for the rural and nomadic populations, that they would have gospel access and spiritual community.

6. Pray for the younger generation, that they would seek truth and surrender their lives to Jesus.

7. Ask God to break the influence of Buddhism, animism, and ancestor worship, which are deeply embedded in culture.

8. Pray for the translation and distribution of Bibles and resources in the Mongolian language.

9. Lift up missionaries and church planters, both local and foreign, as they bring the gospel to unreached areas.

10. Pray for Christian media, including radio, websites, and mobile apps, to reach hearts with God’s Word.

11. Ask God to bless Christian families, that homes would be places of spiritual growth and godly legacy.

12. Pray for unity among believers and churches, that the Mongolian church would be marked by love, humility, and cooperation.
