How can we pray for you?

The Federated States of Micronesia is a small island nation in the western Pacific Ocean, made up of over 600 islands spread across four states: Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and Kosrae. With a population of just over 100,000 people, Micronesia is deeply communal and culturally diverse. Most people identify as Christian, with both Catholic and Protestant roots. However, many have never heard a clear presentation of the gospel, and spiritual life is often shaped more by tradition than by personal faith. In some places, biblical teaching is limited, and churches need trained leaders and sound discipleship. The openness to spiritual things creates a great opportunity for gospel work, especially among the next generation.

This week, we invite you to pray for Micronesia. Pray for clear gospel witness, deep discipleship, and a new generation of believers who live boldly for Christ in every village and island.

Ways to Pray for Micronesia:

1. Pray for gospel clarity, that people would understand and embrace salvation by faith in Christ alone.

2. Ask God to strengthen evangelical churches, especially in remote or under-resourced islands.

3. Pray for faithful pastors and teachers, that they would lead with integrity and sound doctrine.

4. Lift up young people, that they would rise above cultural expectations and follow Christ personally.

5. Intercede for churches influenced by syncretism or shallow teaching, that truth would take root.

6. Pray for strong Christian families, where children are raised to know and love the Lord.

7. Ask God to bless Bible translation and literacy efforts, especially in local languages.

8. Pray for unity among believers across denominational and island lines.

9. Lift up missionaries serving in Micronesia, that they would be welcomed, protected, and fruitful.

10. Pray for island-to-island ministry, that local believers would take the gospel to neighboring communities.

11. Ask God to prepare future leaders, trained and called to shepherd the church faithfully.

12. Pray for a movement of deep discipleship, where tradition gives way to transformed lives through Jesus.
