How can we pray for you?

The Maldives is a tropical island nation made up of over 1,000 small coral islands scattered across the Indian Ocean. Though it is a popular tourist destination, it remains one of the most unreached and spiritually restricted countries in the world. With a population of around 500,000, nearly all Maldivians are Muslim by law, and it is illegal for a citizen to follow Jesus or publicly express Christian faith. Evangelism is forbidden, churches are banned, and owning a Bible in the local language is dangerous. Yet God is never limited. Though the Maldivian church is underground and extremely small, the gospel is reaching people quietly through digital means, dreams, and personal witness. Let’s pray for the light of Christ to shine in this spiritually dark place.

This week, we ask you to pray for the Maldives. Pray for courage and protection for secret believers, for gospel breakthroughs in this closed nation, and for a future harvest of faith in Jesus Christ.
