How can we pray for you?

Introduction to Latvia:

Latvia, a Baltic nation in Northern Europe, is home to around 1.8 million people. It has a long history of Christian tradition, but that tradition is primarily Lutheran, Catholic, and Orthodox. The Evangelical presence is small. Latvia once had strong church attendance and national identity rooted in the Christian faith. But like much of Europe, it has seen a sharp rise in secularism. Today, many Latvians identify as Christian culturally but do not have a personal relationship with Christ. Evangelical believers are a small but faithful minority, working to share the gospel and disciple others in an increasingly indifferent society. The need for spiritual awakening and biblical teaching is great.

Call to Action:

This week, we invite you to pray for Latvia. Ask God to reignite faith in the hearts of Latvians, to strengthen evangelical churches, and to raise up leaders who will boldly proclaim the truth of the gospel.

Ways to Pray for Latvia:

1. Pray for spiritual revival, that Latvians would turn from tradition to true faith in Jesus Christ.
2. Ask God to strengthen evangelical churches, especially those in urban and university settings.
3. Pray for pastors and church leaders, that they would teach God’s Word faithfully and shepherd well.
4. Lift up young people in Latvia, many of whom are spiritually disengaged and skeptical of religion.
5. Intercede for unity among believers, across denominational and ethnic lines, centered on the gospel.
6. Pray for rural communities, where churches are often small and isolated, yet vital for local ministry.
7. Ask God to protect and bless families, that Christian values would be passed from one generation to the next.
