Prayer for the Nations: Kazakhstan

Introduction to Kazakhstan:

Kazakhstan, the largest landlocked country in the world, sits at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. With vast landscapes of mountains, steppes, and deserts, Kazakhstan is home to over 19 million people. The nation is predominantly Muslim, though many people identify as non-practicing or secular. A small percentage of the population is Christian, including a growing number of evangelical believers. Evangelical churches operate under significant restrictions, and public evangelism is often limited or discouraged. Despite these challenges, God is at work, and the church is faithfully sharing the gospel in creative and courageous ways. Let’s lift up Kazakhstan in prayer, asking the Lord to open hearts and strengthen His people.

Call to Action:

This week, we invite you to pray for Kazakhstan. Ask God to bless the nation, guide its leaders, and empower the evangelical church to shine the light of Christ in a spiritually dark environment. Pray for boldness, unity, and fruitfulness as believers share the good news of Jesus.

Ways to Pray for Kazakhstan:

1. Pray for spiritual awakening in Kazakhstan, that many would place their faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord.

2. Ask God to guide Kazakhstan’s leaders, granting them wisdom and a desire to promote justice and freedom.

3. Pray for the evangelical churches, that they would remain faithful, unified, and effective in sharing the gospel.

4. Lift up pastors and Christian leaders, that they would be equipped to disciple others and stand firm under pressure.

5. Pray for young people in Kazakhstan, that they would be drawn to the truth of God’s Word and find identity in Christ.

6. Intercede for areas where religious freedom is restricted, asking God to open doors for ministry and protect His people.

7. Pray for the spread of Scripture, that Bibles and Christian resources would reach every city and village.

8. Ask God to provide for believers facing discrimination, especially in education, employment, or family settings.

9. Pray for unity among evangelical churches, that they would encourage one another and work together for the gospel.

10. Lift up missionaries and ministry workers, that they would be protected and empowered to serve with courage and wisdom.

11. Pray for those who are spiritually searching, that they would encounter Jesus through dreams, conversations, and Scripture.

12. Ask God to raise up a new generation of gospel workers, both within Kazakhstan and sent out from it to the nations.

Conclusion:

Thank you for joining us in prayer for Kazakhstan this week. Let’s trust that God is at work—even in the hardest places—to build His church and draw people to Himself. May the gospel take root in Kazakhstan, and may the name of Jesus be lifted high across this vast and strategic nation.
