God has not given the Christian final victory over sin, but the potential for repeated victory over sin. So don't be caught off guard. Don't expect one victory over temptation to mean that you have conquered that temptation. It will come back again. When you hear the bullets of lust, anger and pride stop firing, it's not because the Devil's given up . . . it's because he's loading a bigger gun.
