True or False

John 7:18 “The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.”

A convicting truth rises to the fore as Jesus stands in the middle of this temple and confounds his listeners. Unlike the Scribes and Pharisees, He is not concerned with echoing the mutable traditions of men but with relaying the pure and unchanging words of the Father. Unlike some of the most revered thinkers of our own modern age, He is not concerned with creating novel theories but with expounding the purity of God’s Truth. Unlike many religious leaders and sectarians who bask in the spotlight today, He is not concerned with tickling our ears but with transforming our hearts.

Christian, two thousand years have come and gone and there is still no falsehood in Christ. Is there falsehood in you?
