And behold, seven other cows, ugly and thin, came up out of the Nile after them, and stood by the other cows on the bank of the Nile. And the ugly, thin cows ate up the seven attractive, plump cows. And Pharaoh awoke.
Don’t you wish our society today was fulfilling Martin Luther King Jr’s dream rather than Pharaoh’s nightmare? Yesterday, I watched a video of a drag-queen being ordained as a pastor, while little girls sat at the altar to compliment his make-up, and while a crooked priest grossly misused Romans 12 to congratulate this man’s ‘transformation.’ Then, almost immediately afterward, I saw an article discussing the ongoing diaper shortage in grocery stores, where the editor proposed more abortions as a solution. Later that evening, my wife and I watched a groundbreaking documentary about the eighty-million dollars a ‘non-profit’ organization fed to sex workers, activist groups, and LGBTQ enterprises, all under the guise of serving poverty-stricken people. What a nightmare! It’s as if, day by day, hour by hour, an ugly, hellish horde ascends the shores of our world to devour all that is good, true, and beautiful.
But friend, like Pharaoh’s nightmare, this nightmare will pass too. And don’t ever forget Who sits on the throne of earth and heaven even now!
