Divine Nudges

Mark 16:3-4 (NIV)
And they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.

While many are busy reacclimatizing themselves to a world without Jesus, Mary and Salome are busy worshiping. One has the idea to embalm Jesus’ body and shares the idea with her friend. Together, they quickly grab oils and perfumes and race out the door. “But we’ll never get through that stone!” No matter, they keep on running, only to discover that God is there waiting for them. That little wind of inspiration that had empowered their every step was actually breathed out by Him.

Friend, pick up your instrument of worship today, follow the nudges of the Holy Spirit wherever they lead, and watch in wonder as God does what only He can.

Further Reflection

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
