Walk in Wisdom

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 

Jesus, in righteous fury, storms through the temple halls, tears down the money-changers’ tables, and cleanses the Father’s house of idolatry. Afterward, a crowd of spectators confronts Him by effectively asking, “What gives you the right to do this?!” Don’t you love the play on words in Christ’s response? He knows these hearers will misunderstand His meaning. He knows they’ll mock Him for even suggesting that He can tear down the towering temple brick by brick and reconstruct it again. But He has something far more jaw-dropping in mind than that. Friend, why does Christ have the right to storm into your heart today and demand purity? What sign has He given you that your body is His temple? 

Look at the empty tomb! That’s all the sign you need.
