Will everyone hear the rapture trumpet?

by Stephen Davey

Joyce from Florida asked: Will everyone hear the sound of the trumpet at the rapture?

Hi Joyce,

As you have noted, there's a trumpet blast when Christ comes for His people.

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first” (I Thessalonians 4:16).

“Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed” (I Corinthians 15:51-52).

The Bible doesn’t specifically indicate if only believers will hear the trumpet. However, I believe everyone will hear it. The reason I think that because the other trumpets of the end times in Revelation 8-11 seem to be audible to those on earth. I believe it's likely that everyone will hear this trumpet as well.

By the way, that trumpet blast will serve as another testimony to the truthfulness of God’s Word, and will be a warning for those left behind to repent of their sin.

Thanks for your question,

Stephen

Hi there! My question is, when will the tribulation occur? Does it occur before the rapture or after? Once people are raptured what happens then? What happens to the people who are raptured? Are they in heaven? are people from the rapture going to get judged? or when does the judgement seat of christ occur? Tank you and may god bless you! xD

In the year 2018 l was woken up by a horn being blew,l got out of my bed to see where the sound was coming from. I opened my front door and step out on the porch. I noticed the sound seen to be coming from the sky. It continues for another few minutes. I went to work to see was anyone else talking about it but everyone looked at me like l was crazy. One lady everybody will hear trumpet blown not just a few. But l still wonder about that today. Was l hearing the trumpet being blowed or was it a strange event in the heaven
Garfield Robinson Jr says:
when the trumpet sound the righteous will be taken, with that being said will their be planes falling from the sky cars wrecks airplanes crashing train jumping rails because many of them will be taken.

Thank you just was wondering. Does Christian need to baptized in or for salvation?

Just saying Jesus loves ya ❤️
Dwight Osborne says:
I'm in agreement with Pastor Davey that everyone will hear the trumpet. The question is, will the unbelievers recognize the sound of a trumpet or will they hear something that sounds like thunder or some other sound. They'll know something happened as they'll see the evidence of the open tombs and graves and the chaos caused by operators of all vehicles being removed causing wrecks in the air, on the rils and the road.
Via says:
Of course they will. The entire world will hear the coming of Jesus. He will arrive with a billion angels and horsemen to fight for his bride and end earth as we know it. If GOD was here, he would tell you to your face, Man you're some kind of Sinner..Signs signs everywhere are signs!
Jane Schmidt says:
I too believe it will be heard by everyone. I can't wait.
Jude says:
I strongly believe everyone will hear the sound of the trumpet
Joseph Eason says:
The trumpet sounds WILL be heard by all. Audibly. I am almost certain that this will happen during my life time. And when it does, I kind of don’t want to be brought up in the rapture because I want to be able to run around to all my unbelievers friends I had and all the people I know who called themselves “Atheists”, and run up to each one of their faces and yell “I TOLD YOU SOOOO!!” And just laugh my ass off at them, “I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I was right and you were wrong! I told you soooo!!”.. hahaha and then after I do all that to all those jerks who gave me a hard time I will immediately fal flat on my face and beg for forgiveness of the sin of being a dickhead to those people. I probably won’t ever lift my face ever again either. Just stay laying down with my face on the for how ever long it takes for Jesus to come and slay everyone and pray to Jesus that I’m not one of them.

If I am worthy of entering Heaven, will I know my family. If there are 7 heavens how will I know how to find them. If and when the Rapture comes will I get smart as other people. I’m tired of not being smart.

Good morning Joyce,, On Sunday, 20 Nov’22 we had our first day of the Holy Ghost Fire Revival. I requested my daughter to take a video on my preaching. After the service I decided to watch the video but this was visible from it as follow: (1) When I started with my sermon just a few minutes there was no voice and started moving in a slow motion without any voice. (2) Secondly, as I couldn’t hear any voice I heard a strange loud voice like a thunderstorm (3) Thirdly, I heard a voice like a bell continuously ringing. My sermon was based on, John 11-14 I need some spiritual clarity on this. I never experienced such in my life time. I want to know whether was it from Father Lord or from the enemy. God bless
Janice Cohea says:
Will the deaf hear the Rapture trumpet?
Andrea L. says:
My Teenage Daughter and I heard one of the Trumpets. They do NOT sound on Earth. ONLY in heaven. We were sleeping. We heard a Shofar in heaven sound a blast 3 times. We both awoke and sat up instantly. Amazed that we had both heard it in Heaven at the same time! We were given ears to hear in heaven. Not the same ears we hear with on earth. The spirit has ears and it’s only this way that it can be heard. I know this only because it happened to us on October 23, 2020. In March of 2020 I was given spiritual eyes and allowed to see the Angel of the Lord. He was in the clouds. He was reading the hearts of man and recording their deeds with impartiality. I try to make videos about my experiences with The Lord. Here is the link to one of my videos. I hope these help you all. Stay encouraged. We are in the final push. Endure to the end.
Kay Lent says:
Some believe the trumpet will sound to each as their on name. As when Jesus called to Lazarus to come forth. Had he not specifically called his name all the dead would have come forth.
Joseph says:
I think only the believers will here the trumpet. Jesus is coming like a thief in the night. A thief doesn't give any warning of his arrival. He's gone before you realize you've been robbed. Jesus said my sheep know my voice. Remember we're waiting and looking for His appearance, the world is not.
Marlene Schmedlin says:
When my mother died the priest started saying a prayer. My sister and I couldn’t hear him because there was a loud sound, the sound of a trumpeter. When the priest finished speaking the sound of the trumpeter stopped. It was the weirdest thing.
Alizay says:
Hi I have a question, will everyone hear the 1st trumpet together cuase I heard and seen people saying the we will only hear the 2 last one 6th and 7th and that the first ones were already heard but I believed we all hear them all together?
Darla says:
That means they will die for the cause of Christ
Heather says:
I heard it loud and clear September 2021. I was at the lowest point in my life. It happened after my daughter’s father passed away 😢 One thing I know is that after I heard it I knew there is a God after years of thinking I was forgotten. Times are scary now but I feel at peace knowing I’m not alone anymore. Since I heard it I know our father is keeping me safe. To anyone who thought your alone your not! 💕

If all hear the trumpet, the shout and the voice of Michael the archangel there can be no discussion of aliens abduction, or any other explanation other than Jesus coming for His bride, unlike the 2nd coming where He comes with His bride. The beginning of the tribulation but also the beginning a a great revival
Lilliam says:
The rapture will take place first; the tribulation will be after the rapture. People who are raptured will go to heaven and celebrate the lamb’s wedding feast while those left behind suffer the consequences during the tribulation.

When will Jesus come to Earth?
Cindy says:
I have heard there will be panic and confusion after the true belivers are taken not knowing where they were taken. With that being said I think the true believers will her the first trumpet and all left behind will hear another.

Ms Azodnem says:
Right before COVET in 2020, I heard a trumpet so loud that it woke me from sleep. I got up, looked out the window to see where the sound was coming from. After a few minutes, the sound started to fade and soon it was gone. In the morning, I called the city to see if maybe everyone had heard it. According to lady that answered, there were no emergency alerts that had gone off during the night. Apparently, she didn't hear anything. I felt that it was a warning and that something was going to happen. I did tell my pastor, but he just brushed it off. Next thing I knew, we were in the middle of covet.

You will only hear the trumpet if you are ready and waiting for his coming Plus, you don’t know the day or the hour!

2 years ago as I laid awake in my bed at 3am on Thurs morning I heard the very soft sound of a shofar on my right side ! I’ve never heard a shofar before but somehow I knew that the sound was that of a shofar I heard !!! What do I do with this knowledge??? a believer in Jesus
Javier says:
Everyone will hear the trumpet or trumpets sound that day, hopefully very soon.
CHILD OF GOD says:
I understand that the seven trumpets are indicative of what will take place and we will witness through signs and happenings but the sound of the Last trumpet is what Beliwvers will hear by faith those alive and those who will be raised. I believe unbelievers will witness our disappearance but not the sound of the trumpet, they may but I will definitely have too study this one further.

RAPTURE: At the Rapture the Lord meets us “in the air,” in the atmosphere above the earth. This is in contrast to His return to earth at the Second Advent, when “His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives” to end the Tribulation and deliver Israel (Zech. 14:4). So after the rapture, there will only be non-Christians on earth. 3 and a half years later Satan will sit on the throne in the then rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. People will be tricked into taking the Mark Of The Beast during the 7-year Tribulation period. 3 and a half years later (at the end of the 7 year Tribulation), Jesus will return again and this time his feet will physically touch the Earth and he will walk through the gates in Jerusalem. (Zech 14:4). Source: https://rbthieme.org/Publications/dictionary/index.html Does a Christian need to be baptized to be saved? Answer: No. Did you know that Mark 16:9-20 wasn't part of the original book of Mark. It was added many years later (centuries later perhaps). Ben Brodie (who was a student of Robert Thieme), when he transcribed the book of Mark from the original Greek, the book ends at Mark 16:8. Mark 16:16 is the verse that says you must be baptized to be saved (which is false). https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/was-mark-16-9-20-originally-mark-gospel/ RAPTURE vs SECOND ADVENT: At the Rapture the Lord meets us “in the air,” in the atmosphere above the earth. This is in contrast to His return to earth at the Second Advent, when “His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives” to end the Tribulation and deliver Israel (Zech. 14:4) RAPTURE (of the Church): The resurrection of all Church Age believers from the earth to forever be with the Lord (1 Thess. 4:13–17). The Rapture marks the end of the Church Age and the beginning of the Tribulation. (Synonyms: exit resurrection; resurrection of the Church). The theological title “Rapture” derives from the Latin rapio, used in the Latin Vulgate to translate the Greek harpazo (1 Thess. 4:17). Both of these terms indicate being caught up and taken away, carried off suddenly, to meet the Lord. When the Rapture takes place, all Church Age believers, alive and dead, will rendezvous with the Lord somewhere above the earth. At the sound of the trumpet, “in the twinkling of an eye . . . we will be changed” from a body of corruption to a body of incorruption (1 Cor. 15:51–53; cf. Phil. 3:20–21). First Thessalonians 4:15–17 gives the order of events: “The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel . . . and the dead in Christ [departed Church Age believers] will rise first” with their eternal resurrection bodies (verse 16). “Then we who are alive and remain [Church Age believers still on earth] will be caught up [harpazo] together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” and receive resurrection bodies (verse 17a). The Rapture will be followed by a period of fantastic happiness and celebration, a ‘reunion’ of the entire royal family, assembled for the first time in spontaneous mass recognition of the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 14:11). He will lead the procession into heaven, and the resurrected Church now transformed to His Bride (2 Cor. 11:2b; Rev. 19:7–9), will convene before the judg- ment seat of Christ for evaluation and reward while the Tribulation unfolds on earth (Rom. 14:12; 1 Cor. 1:7–8; 2 Cor. 5:10; cf. Rev. 22:12) Since no prophecy will be fulfilled before the Rapture takes place, the date of the event is unknown. No one, including the divinely inspired authors of Scripture, can pinpoint the time of its occurrence. We know simply that the Rapture is imminent, and that it will happen suddenly and quickly once the royal family—“those who are Christ’s”—is fully formed (1 Cor. 15:23). TRIBULATION: The Tribulation is the yet-to-be-completed portion of the Dispensation of Israel—a future seven years that will begin after the Rapture and end with the Second Advent (Isa. 34:1–6; 63:1–6; Ezek. 38—39; Dan. 11:36—12:3; Zech. 12; 14; Matt. 24– 25; Rev. 6—19). More specifically, the Tribulation constitutes the remaining portion of the 490 years given by God to the Jews “to make atonement for iniquity” (Dan. 9:24). These future seven years will be Israel’s final opportunity to respond to divine discipline and receive her Messiah. (Synonyms: Daniel’s seventieth week; Dispensation of the Tribulation; time of Jacob’s trouble.) Since all Church Age believers are transferred to heaven at the Rapture, this new era of history will commence with no believers, no restraining ministry of the Holy Spirit, and no operational client nation [Client Nation: a nation that relies on God's protection and provisions]. (1 Thess. 4:16–17; 2 Thess. 2:7). Satan will be freer than ever to implement a utopian strategy aimed at securing full control of the world and eradicating the Jews. Evangelism. Despite religious apostasy, internationalism, demonic invasion, and unbridled violence in the Tribulation, the Gospel will be presented more intensively than in any other dispensation (time period). God’s primary missionary agency will be the 144,000 Jews who accept Christ after the Rapture (Rev. 7:1–12) [see Jewish evangelists]. Angels will supplement and support the function of these evangelists, ensuring the communication of the eternal Gospel to every nation on earth (Rev. 14:6–7). The worldwide evangelistic thrust will also be aided by the powerful ministry of the resuscitated Moses and Elijah (Revelation 11:3-12, cf. Malachi 4:4–5; Matthew 17:1–3). The first half of the Tribulation will proceed in a state of relative peace, prosperity, and religious tolerance, yet underneath will be the smoldering evil of power politics and ecumenical religion. The “false prophet,” an unbelieving and anti-Semitic Jew, will secure political and religious rulership of Israel by posing as the Messiah (Matt. 24:24; cf. Rev. 19:20). As world power blocs [groups of countries aligned politically] form around him, he will secure protection through an alliance with the western bloc, promising Israel’s wealth and religious allegiance to the “beast” dictator of the Revived Roman Empire (Rev. 13:12, 14; cf. Dan. 11:38–39). Midway through this dispensation [half way through the 7-year tribulation period], Satan and his demons will be cast down to earth to unleash such torture and fury, primarily upon the Jews, that the period is called the “great tribulation” (Matt. 24:21–22; Rev. 7:14; 9; 12:17). At the start of these final three and a half years, the Jerusalem Temple will be desecrated with a statue of the beast, which all citizens are forced to worship (Dan. 7:25; 9:27; 12:11; Rev. 13:12–18). Believers who reject the beast’s image will be deprived, imprisoned, executed, or compelled to flee for refuge (Matt. 24:15–18; Rev. 12:6), while compliant Jews are deluded into a false sense of security (2 Thess. 2:9–11; Rev. 14:11; 16:2). Chaos and deliverance. With Satan left virtually to his own devices, the world situation will collapse into chaos. Widespread human arrogance and negative volition will cause a large portion of the earth’s population to reap its own destruc- tion (Rev. 6:1–11). From “bowls full of wrath,” God will pour out judgments in every form of pandemic suffering and disaster, designed to bring unbelievers to a realization of their need for Christ (Rev. 15:5—16:11). Violence unrestrained throughout the world will climax in an unprecedented world war over target Jerusalem: as the military forces of four world powers converge on Israel, the land will descend into a bloodbath and scramble for plun- der (Dan. 11:40; Joel 2:2; Zech. 14:1–2; Rev. 16:14– 16). But just as the massacre of a faithful group of believers appears imminent (Zech. 12:5–6; 13:9; Rev. 14:12), the Lord’s Second Advent will turn the tide of the campaign... Read more...
