Mark: The Gospel of Action, Vol.1 - Mark 1:1-4:41

Originally preached on September – December 1987

As flames engulf the city of Rome, Christians are being blamed. Fearing for their lives, the early church is forced to meet in secret. Then a letter from Mark arrives. His words open their eyes as they learn of Jesus' power over sickness, disease and death. Their fearful hearts are encouraged and they are inspired to follow Him regardless of the cost. Though the trials have changed, Mark's call to action remains the same. Your eyes will be opened and your heart encouraged as you behold the Savior in Mark: The Gospel of Action, Volume 1.

What DID Jesus Do? - Mark 1:9-4:20

Originally preached on October – November 1987

For the past decade, the question "What would Jesus do" has overtaken mainstream Christianity. From bracelets, to t-shirts, to hit-songs, to book titles, this thought-provoking question has made its way to the forefront of people's minds. But it cannot stand alone. The answer can only be found by first asking another question: What did Jesus do? Without an understanding of who He was, and the purpose for which He came, we will never be able to understand what He would do if He were still here. It is the study of His earthly actions that will determine how we should act, and an understanding of His Divine purposes that will define our own.
