The future veiled before us lies,
The path is hidden from our eyes;
Still we press on to reach the prize—
Just one step at a time.
The road He treads is narrow still,
It wounds our flesh and bends our will;
Through rocky crags up Calv’ry’s hill—
Just one step at a time.
The veil is torn and death is dead!
Feel Heaven reaching through the threads!
Get up, O soul! Press on ahead!
